outline
To understand the characteristics of health problems with the people living on islands from broad perspectives of geography, history, culture, society and economy, and lifestyle regulated by culture; to learn methods to assist healthy life on islands and strategies to solve health problems.
Objectives 1.To be able to explain the background including the characteristics of health problems on islands.
2.To be able to explain the problems with healthy life on islands.
3.To be able to discuss strategies to solve the problems with healthy life from a wide range of perspectives.

Evaluation method Students are evaluated based on their participating attitudes in class (40%) and the contents of their papers (60%).
Remarks Students are notified of any change to part-time instructors’ class schedule in advance as needed. In principle, lectures are given on Saturdays and Sundays.
